Johanna Monserratte founded Happy Kiss Pole Dance in 2014, teaching her first students from the spare bedroom of her Gainesville home. More than a decade later, that dream has grown into one of Gainesville’s most loved pole studios, with a 5-star reputation and a devoted community.

Johanna built Happy Kiss on three values—haven, play, and voice. Her teaching philosophy puts safety, body positivity, and self-expression first: every class is genuinely beginner-friendly, every body is welcome, and no one is ever “too” anything to start. You won’t be judged on how strong or flexible you are; you’ll be guided to build that strength sustainably, at your own pace.

Under her leadership, the studio has become a true Gainesville haven—small, personalized class sizes, an inclusive space for all genders and abilities, and a culture where students are encouraged to find their voice on and off the pole.
